Trial of Adalberto Gonzalez in police-involved dirt bike death delayed to March 13
THE BRONX - The trial of a Bronx man involved in a fatal dirt bike crash last year has been delayed for a second time.
Adalberto Gonzalez is facing charges for the police-involved crash that killed his friend, Eddie Fernandez. Authorities say the two were illegally riding a dirt bike on city streets when they were struck from behind by a police car attempting to pull them over.
Gonzalez's attorney says another delay is unacceptable, and that he still hasn't received surveillance video of the accident, which he plans to use in his defense. The judge says he will have the video no later than March 1.
The new trial date is set for March 13.
