Two manhole explosions cause power outages, street closures

THE BRONX - Two manhole explosions caused power outages and street closures for some Bronx residents. A manhole on Tiffany Street went up in flames yesterday, leaving business owners along the street without power for hours after the incident.

It was not an isolated incident as a manhole on Westchester Avenue also exploded around 8 a.m.

The cause behind both explosions has not yet been released.
