THE BRONX - One of the most popular restaurant spots in the borough's own Little Italy is permanently closed for business.

Umberto's Clam House on Arthur Avenue and 186th Street shut down after a decade of service, and its former staff says the city is to blame.

Former general manager Andrew Giordano, of the eatery's Bronx branch, says Umberto's not only struggled with the economy and hefty fines from the city's Health Department, but it also was a victim of quick ticketing by traffic cops.
