Unattended house in Throgs Neck causing headaches

THROGS NECK - Neighbors of an unattended home in Throgs Neck are reaching out to local lawmakers in hope of finally getting the site cleaned.

Neighbors call the backyard at 3011 Schley Ave. a swampy mess with about two feet of water. They say the yard is also full of garbage and a breeding ground for mosquitoes and snakes.

The Department of Health has issued several violations regarding the home over the years, but neighbors say they have not seen any progress.
