THE BRONX - The Taxi and Limousine Commission announced today that five livery cab companies have been consistently overcharging customers.

The commission says Gunhill Car Service, Skyline Inc., Prestige, Top Limousine and Kingsdale Dispatch have all been overcharging customers, and in some instances, refusing transportation to the disabled.

By law, livery companies are required to have a handicap-accessible vehicle and are supposed to provide the same service at the same cost of a regular ride.

The commission says it uncovered the overcharging during a 10-month undercover investigation.
