Unleveled sidewalk has Wakefield residents watching their step

THE BRONX - An unleveled sidewalk in Wakefield has many neighbors tripping over their own feet.

According to residents, the sidewalk on East 237th Street has been a safety hazard for years, giving anyone with strollers or shopping carts a tough time. Many say they're worried about the elderly trying to navigate the uneven pavement.

Local homeowners also complain that all their phone calls to 311 about fixing the problem have gone unanswered.
