THE BRONX - Digging out of the snow proved difficult for some Bronx residents, who say some streets remained unplowed late Monday.

In some areas, residents took matters into their own hands with shovels -- or larger tools.

On Kingsland Avenue, at least two residents with plow attachments on their trucks helped clear the road.

However, little pavement was visible and there seemed to be a lot of ice.
