THE BRONX - Authorities are searching for vandals accused of smashing or stealing hundreds of energy-efficient light bulbs throughout the Castle Hill Houses.

Tenants say the bulbs were put in place after Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced a multimillion-dollar program to install new, more expensive lighting. Tenant Association President Roxanne Reid says the vandals struck once the installation was finished in February.

The New York City Housing Authority has begun replacing some of the bulbs.
