HUNTS POINT - When local kindergarteners went to Riverside Park this weekend, they were surprised to discover that the park was covered in spray paint and littered with garbage.

Nothing was spared by the vandals. Trees, walls and park benches were covered in paint and trash was strewn everywhere.

Neighbors believe the damage was done by local children over the weekend. They say that there needs to be increased security for the park once the gates close at night.
