PELHAM BAY - A three-car accident claimed the lives of two people and injured three others on the Hutchinson River Parkway.

The accident occurred at around 7:00 a.m., just a mile from the Westchester border.

Police say a black Ford Explorer traveling north on the parkway flipped over into oncoming traffic in the southbound lanes. The SUV crushed a Skyline car service cab, killing 51-year-old driver Ata Norsi, as well as 54-year-old passenger Patrick Sheenan, of Larchmont.

After the cab was hit, it caught fire and smashed into a white SUV.

The 45-year-old driver of the Ford Explorer, the 49-year-old driver of the white SUV and his 15-year-old passenger are recovering at Jacobi Medical Center.
