Video released in hunt for fatal hit-and-run driver

Police have released surveillance video that they hope will lead them to the driver who struck and killed a Bronx school teacher on Feb. 11.

THE BRONX - Police have released surveillance video that they hope will lead them to the driver who struck and killed a Bronx school teacher on Feb. 11.

According to authorities, 42-year-old Dawn Affoumani was hit on White Plains Road and Story Avenue in Soundview. Her husband said her two kids, both under 10 years old, ask for their mother every day.

Cops are looking for a red Jeep Wrangler they believe is involved. It was caught on camera speeding down the street just minutes after the accident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-577-TIPS.
