Investigators say the suspect first approached an 18-year-old girl at Sedgwick and Bailey avenues on Aug. 30. He allegedly choked and held her to the ground, and then removed her shoes and smelled her feet.

The same man is believed to have assaulted a 24-year-old woman about a half-hour later on Park View Terrace. Authorities say he tried to remove her pants, but ran away when the victim resisted.

He's described as Hispanic, about 30 years old and 5 feet 8 inches tall.
