Video released of suspect in fatal Soundview shooting

THE BRONX - Police have released surveillance video that they hope will catch the man behind a deadly shooting in Soundview early Saturday morning.

According to cops, the suspect is seen firing a hand gun at 1772 Randall Ave. and then fleeing toward Soundview Avenue. They say 27-year-old William Samuels was hit and killed, and a 19-year-old was wounded in the foot.

Officials say the gunman is in his late 20s and was wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white sneakers. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

The NYPD says there have been twice as many murders in Soundview in 2012 compared to the same time last year.
