Volunteers spread domestic violence awareness in BX

Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office is hitting the streets today to help spread domestic violence awareness in The Bronx. Volunteers will be out in full force

THE BRONX - Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office is hitting the streets today to help spread domestic violence awareness in The Bronx.

Volunteers will be out in full force as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October to make sure victims know about the services available to them.

Flyers and other educational information will be handed out at the intersection of 161st Street and River Avenue between 3:30 and 6 p.m.
