MOTT HAVEN - Hundreds in Mott Haven attended wake services for Rev. John Grange, who was responsible for transforming St. Jerome’s Church, according to parishioners.
Grange, 73, died after a battle with cancer on Thursday.
Raised in the Bronx, the Spanish-speaking reverend was credited with rebuilding the once impoverished South Bronx parish.
A Mass will be held tomorrow at the church located at 1160 Zerega Ave. Rev. Grange will then be buried in Queens at Calvary Cemetery.
