THE BRONX - A female Green Peacock is back at the Bronx Zoo after it wandered through the borough for a little more than a day.

The peahen was sighted on Monday perched under the elevated Bronx River Parkway and then landed on the street below and crossed Morris Park Avenue.

Bronx Zoo Director Jim Breheny said she was found this morning at an auto-glass repair shop in East Tremont and safely corralled.

Following the popularity of the Bronx Zoo cobra, which went missing early this year, a Twitter page was also been started for the peahen.
