Meteorologist Mike Favetta says nearly 2 inches is expected to fall by 6 p.m.

THE BRONX - The borough is being doused with period of heavy rain today.

News 12 Meteorologist Mike Favetta says nearly 2 inches is expected to fall by 6 p.m., making for a messy Friday night commute, but it's expected to dry up by 8 p.m.

The weekend stays dry and mostly sunny, with temperatures hovering at around 60 degrees.
