HIGH BRIDGE - The cold weather may have caused a pipe to burst at a newly renovated High Bridge building.

Neighbors say they woke up to water pouring from the first floor of 916 Summit Ave. Friday. The site was under construction recently, residents say, though most work finished before the holidays.

The Department of Environmental Quality arrived at the site at around 9 a.m. and had the water turned off by 10 a.m. The building manager says he's surprised the pipe burst, but will repair it and clean the area soon.
