Weather Update: Flash flood watch in effect

The Bronx was hit with heavy rain and strong winds Friday as Tropical Storm Andrea made its way up the East Coast.

THE BRONX - The Bronx was hit with heavy rain and strong winds Friday as Tropical Storm Andrea made its way up the East Coast.

A flash flood watch is in effect until Saturday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has also issued a coastal flood advisory from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

News 12 Meteorologist Stacy-Ann Gooden says the storm will move out in time for residents to enjoy the weekend.
