THE BRONX - Forecasts show the possibility of snow in parts of lower New York and the Bronx due to a lake effect system expected to impact the region Tuesday.

News 12 meteorologists predict temperatures in the low- to mid-20s overnight into Tuesday morning.

Highs could climb into the low-40s during the daytime Tuesday, according to forecasts, with cloudy skies and a breeze in the air.

Snow could begin falling by the late afternoon or evening Tuesday, possibly impacting the evening commute, as temperatures again drop into the mid-20s.
