Webb Avenue fire under investigation

THE BRONX - Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire on Webb Avenue yesterday.

The fire broke out just after 1 p.m. on the second floor of the building at 2701 Webb Ave.

Firefighters arrived quickly at the scene, extinguishing the blaze without minimal damage to the building. A few people suffered minor injuries.

Battalion Chief Thomas Reilly says the hot weather may have played a part.
