Construction projects on the roads and rails may hinder travel this weekend.

THE BRONX - Getting around the Bronx this weekend will be a bit tricky with some construction projects lined up and the Columbus Day Parade.

East 226th Street will be closed on Saturday and Sunday from Barnes to Bronxwood avenues. The closure will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Also, the Columbus Day Parade will take place Sunday in Morris Park. The parade route will run along Morris Park Avenue between White Plains and Williamsburg roads. The area will be closed from noon to 3 p.m.

Alternate side of the street parking rules are in effect. And on mass transit there will be lots of track work taking place.
