THE BRONX - If you're traveling around the borough this weekend, there are some construction projects and events to be on the lookout for.

Irwin Street will be closed on both Saturday and Sunday between West 238th and West 240th streets from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The Bronx Saint Patrick's Day Parade kicks off Sunday, shutting down several other streets from noon until 2 p.m. It all starts with the closure of Lafayette Avenue, between Calhoun and East Tremont avenues, where the formation begins.

The route heads down East Tremont Avenue, which will be blocked off between Lafayette and Harding avenues. Harding Avenue will then be closed between East Tremont and Buttrick avenues.

If taking mass transit, there's plenty of track work scheduled. Commuters are reminded to check all schedules for service changes or delays before heading out.
