Weekend travel advisory

Local events and construction projects could slow down

Local events and construction projects could slow down your commute.

THE BRONX - If you're traveling around the borough this weekend, there are some events and construction projects to be on the lookout for.

Circle the Square will take place at Westchester Square from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Saturday, shutting down Lane Avenue between Tremont and Westchester avenues.

The Bronx Summer Feast will also take place on Saturday from noon until 4 p.m. Louis Nine Boulevard will be closed between Jennings Street and Southern Boulevard during that time.

Meanwhile, repairs on the Throgs Neck Bridge will close down one lane through the weekend until 5 a.m. Monday.

Plenty of track work is also expected. Anyone taking mass transit should double check all schedules for possible delays or service disruptions before heading out.

Alternate side of the street parking rules will be in effect Saturday citywide.
