THE BRONX - Holiday travelers should be aware of some construction projects this weekend.

One lane of traffic will be blocked both ways on the Major Deegan Expressway this weekend, and it's subject to full closures of up to 15 minutes during overnight hours.

There will be construction on the westbound Cross Bronx Expressway at the Alexander Hamilton Bridge for the next three weeks. There will be a split, so all current lanes will remain open, but motorists should drive slowly through the area.

Undercliff Avenue will be closed from Sedgwick Avenue to the Cross Bronx Service Road Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Alternate side of the street parking rules will be in effect for the weekend, too.

Some track work will affect subway lines. The Coney Island-bound D train will skip 167th, 161st and 155th street stations.
