Westchester Square merchants hope for new tenant

THE BRONX - Westchester Square merchants are hoping that a new anchor store could help boost their sales.

Ever since the Foot Locker closed three months ago, the merchants have been waiting for a new store to move in.

Retailers say that the area is heavily trafficked with more than 120,000 people going through the area a day.

Shop owners hope a variety store will move in, allowing the area to become a one-stop shopping destination.
