Winter blast descends on The Bronx

THE BRONX - ? Residents in the Bronx coped with a deep freeze Monday as wind gusts gave the area an Arctic feel.

News 12 The Bronx meteorologist Mike Favetta said winds could gust up to 45 mph during the afternoon Monday. Although the mercury read 25 degrees, the winds made it feel significantly colder.

Once residents get through the latest round of wintry conditions, some warmer weather is on tap for Christmas and the weekend.
