Winter weather riddles Bronx roads with potholes

The DOT says it’s fixed nearly 88,000 potholes citywide since Jan. 1. (2/17/14)

THE BRONX - Pothole problems have not yet eased up in the Bronx this winter.

A number of roads are in bad shape, giving drivers major headaches as they try to avoid causing damage to their cars. One livery cab driver says he had to call a tow truck after hitting a massive crater on the Grand Concourse.

Many people complain that Zerega Avenue at the Bruckner is among one of the most riddled roadways. Pelham Parkway also has a major pothole problem, especially at Lydig and Cruger avenues.
