QUEENS - A woman has been arrested and charged in the subway death of a Queens man.
Police say Erika Menendez pushed Sunando Sen from behind into the path of an oncoming 7 train as it headed into the 40th Street-Lowery Street station on Dec. 27. The 31-year-old told police she pushed Sen off the platform because she believed he was a Muslim.
Menendez gave police a Bronx address, but relatives say she also lives with her mother in Queens. Menendez now faces second-degree murder as a hate crime charges. If convicted, she faces 25 years to life in prison.
