THE BRONX - Police say they found a woman's decomposing body in a Boynton Avenue apartment Wednesday.

A strong foul odor brought the building's superintendent and police to the apartment where neighbors say they've noticed the smell for several days.

According to neighbors, the woman, believed to be in her forties, often fought with her husband up until a few days ago.

"Two or three days ago, there was an incident going on between him and her. Most people say that she was the one always beating him," says Alex Fuigedo, who lives in the apartment above the woman.

Police are investigating the death and have not commented on the case.
