Woman killed in Bruckner Expressway crash

THE BRONX - A 25-year-old woman was killed after police say she drove the wrong way on the Bruckner Expressway early this morning.

Authorities say Margaret Donnelly, of Throgs Neck Boulevard, was heading north in the southbound lane at around 3 a.m. Her Hyundai Sonata smashed into a car and tractor-trailer at around 3 a.m., shutting down the roadway for several hours and snarling traffic on I-95 South. The truck driver slammed into the guardrail after he says he attempted to avoid Donnelly, who was headed straight at him. No other injuries were reported.
