THE BRONX - A generous donation was made this week to an organization that helps Bronx families in need put food on the table.

The Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation in the South Bronx received 6,000 smoothie pouches for kids.

The special delivery was made by baby food company Plum Organics, which teamed up with the company Baby Buggy.

WHEDCO not only shares food donations like this one, but it also operates a rooftop farm and sets up walking tours of farmer's markets to encourage people to eat healthy.
