THE BRONX - A new policy guarantees that the NYPD will follow up with customers who call 311 with quality-of-life complaints.

Under the new rule, residents who call 311 can get a call from police within 24 hours during the week.

People who continue to call and complain could also expect a personal visit from an officer.
