A recent Gallup poll found that only one out of three adults has visited the dentist in the past year.

The American Dental Association says it is important for individuals to go at least once a year.

The study also found that blacks and Hispanics 18 to 29 are least likely to swing by their dentist's office. News 12 asked residents why they choose to go to or abstain from the dentist.
