Word on the Street: Derek Jeter’s last season with the New York Yankees

News 12 The Bronx asked if residents are more likely to go see the Yankees play since Derek Jeter has announced his plans to retire at the end of the 2014 season.

The Yankees captain has spent 20 years with the franchise and has won five championships over the years. A large crowd was on hand at Yankee Stadium Monday afternoon to watch Jeter’s final Opening Day in a Yankees uniform.
