THE BRONX - Mayor Bill de Blasio is thinking about overturning the ban on having ferrets as pets.

News 12 The Bronx took to the streets to see what residents have to say about the idea. Many agreed that they think the ban should be overturned, as long as there are rules set in place to make sure the animals receive proper veterinary care.

Several people said they believe ferrets are harmless and would not hurt anybody, especially if they are kept on leashes while out in public.
