THE BRONX - Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio chose chart-topping song "Royals" by New Zealand singer Lorde to play before his victory speech during election night on Tuesday.

Many residents in the Bronx are in agreement that de Blasio's choice was a good one and are throwing their support behind his similar message.

De Blasio's campaign has not responded to News 12's request for comments on the song choice. His campaign did tell the New York Times that the song was picked by a campaign consultant.
