THE BRONX - Federal paid maternity leave continues to be a hot topic in New York.

U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is looking to pass the Family Act. The bill would establish national paid family and medical leave.

This would include maternity leave as well. If passed, employees across the the nation will no longer have to choose between their paycheck or taking care of a family member
