THE BRONX - Would you consider breaking a sweat to earn a free subway ride?

Commuters at one train station in Moscow, Russia are exercising for a free commute. A vending machine is temporarily giving out a single-ride ticket to anyone who can complete 30 squats in two minutes.

News 12 caught up with Bronx straphangers to see if they'd swap squats for MetroCards. Most said they'd definitely get in their daily workout while saving money, but some said they were too old.

When asked about the likelihood of subway squats happening in New York City, the MTA gave a definitive no.
