THE BRONX - Spanking is a common form of discipline for some parents, but new research suggests negative effects.

According to a recent study, spanking kids at a young age could lead to more aggression and rule breaking later on in elementary school.

Most Bronx residents that spoke with News 12 agreed with the research, saying there are better ways to discipline children.

Experts also encourage parents to think about more positive methods of dealing with bad behavior.
