THE BRONX - Mayor Bloomberg and the New York City Health Department proposed new tanning regulations Tuesday to the Board of Health.

These rules include required salon inspections every two years. The proposal also requires UV equipment operators to get special training and prohibits children under 17 from going to tanning salons.

Many residents agree with the proposal and are against tanning salons in general.
