THE BRONX - Some New York lawmakers are already looking ahead to the next Election Day and they think it should fall on a weekend.

Supporters of the idea argue that moving elections from the typical Tuesday would increase voter participation.

News 12 hit the streets to see if Bronx voters would be more likely to vote on a different day.

Some people say the day of the week won’t make any difference because those who want to vote will make sure to do it regardless of the day. Others think the change would make it easier for more people to fulfill their civic duty.
