Wrong-way driver dies after crashing into utility pole on West Farms Road &174th Street

A driver has died after crashing into a utility pole in the Bronx overnight. Authorities say the man was heading north in the southbound lane

The man was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead.

THE BRONX - A driver has died after crashing into a utility pole in the Bronx overnight.

Authorities say the man was heading north in the southbound lane of West Farms Road when he hit a pole on 174th Street at around 2:30 a.m.

He was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead.

The accident is under investigation.
