THE BRONX - While the Yankees take on the Twins in Minnesota, Yankee Stadium is playing host to the second annual Borough President's Cup.

The tournament was for Bronx Little League players, who compete for the chance to play in the championship game at Yankee Stadium. Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. says criteria for earning an invitation to the tournament goes beyond baseball skills. The players are required to earn at least a B-average in school, have a school attendance record of 90 percent or greater, and participate in community service.

Players participating in the tournament say they were really excited to be playing a game at the same stadium as their favorite Yankees.

This year's championship game was between the Little League Raiders and the Bronx Bombers Little League. The tournament itself is sponsored in part by the Yankees and AT&T.
