THE BRONX - Business was booming today in The Bronx for the Yankees? home opener.

Fans headed over to 161st Street to pick up Yankee hats, jerseys and souvenirs.

Business owners say the economic boost only comes but once a year. Head of the 161st Bid Association, Cary Goodman, says a Yankees win sets the tone for the team and businesses for the rest of the season.
