Yankees' home opener doesn't disappoint fans

THE BRONX - The Yankees home opener did not disappoint fans of the Bronx Bombers.

The Yankees defeated the Los Angeles Angels 7-5 this afternoon, but fans say the fun began before the first pitch.

Former Yankees and Hall of Famers Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra helped hand out World Series rings to members of last year's championship team. Despite now playing for Angels, fans gave World Series MVP Hideki Matsui a standing ovation when he received his ring.Click NEXT below your video player to see more video of the Yankees opening day.
