THE BRONX - A familiar foe will be on the mound as the Yankees try to tie the World Series at 1-1 Thursday.

Former Mets and Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez, who infamously took down Don Zimmer a few years back, is starting for Philadelphia.

Beating Martinez could make a win tonight even sweeter for Yankees fans. His presence could also add even more sting if the defending champs pick up a second win.
