THE BRONX - Police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly attacked a yellow cab driver with a box cutter over the weekend.

According to authorities, the suspect was picked up in lower Manhattan early Saturday morning and was asked to be taken to a location in the Bronx. When the cab arrived at 1964 Grand Concourse, the passenger said it was the wrong place.

Cops say that the two then got into a verbal altercation that ended with the suspect punching the driver and slitting his wrist with the box cutter. The passenger is also accused of slashing the car's tires and breaking the passenger side window.

The suspect, who was caught on surveillance video, is described as being Hispanic with a light complexion and in his 20s. He fled the scene down East 179th Street.

The driver was treated at Saint Barnabas Hospital for his injuries.
