Young BX baseball players compete at Yankee Stadium

THE BRONX - Some of The Bronx's best young baseball stars played at Yankee Stadium in a special game today.

The Raiders went up against the Paulino Little League this afternoon, fighting for the Borough President's championship title.

Adam De La Cruz, who grew up close to the stadium, says playing there was a dream come true.

Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. says the baseball all-stars are also stars in the classroom.  Each player had to maintain at least an 80-percent average, 90-percent attendance rate and complete some community service in order to participate.
