THE BRONX - A young girl was struck by a car Saturday evening while walking on Creston Avenue, near East 184th Street.

Police say the incident occurred at around 5 p.m.

A witness told News 12 that a woman in a nearby salon screamed and everyone in the area went outside to see what had happened. The witness says the authorities arrived shortly after the driver fled.

The girl was taken to Lebanon Hospital, but her condition is currently unknown.
